Beef Mechado Recipe
Ingredients:
- 500 grams beef sirloin, cubed
- 5 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup of water or beef both
- 1 each, potato, carrot, green capsicum and onion, cubed
- 100 grams pineapple, cubed
- 2 tbsp pineapple juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
In a saucepan, heat oil and saute garlic and onion. Add beef and fry till light brown. Add tomato paste and water/both.
Once it begains to boil, add the vegetables and pinapple. Now add pineapple juice and cook until beef is done.
Season with salt and pepper.

Note: This dish from Manila goes well with white rice.
