Fish Moli Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 kg pomfret
- 4 green chillies, thinly sliced
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1-inch piece ginger, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 3 curry leaves
- Pinch of turmeric powder
- 1 stick cinnamon, 4 cloves, 2 pods cardamom
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup water
Clean and cut the fish into medium-sized pieces. Marinate with pepper and salt, and keep aside for two hours. Heat oil in a shallow pan and fry cloves, cinnamon and cardamom for a minute. Remove spices from oil.
Saute onion, ginger, chilli, garlic, and curry leaves in the same pan. Add turmeric and salt. Stir for 1 minute then add water. When water begins to boil, add fish, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Now add coconut milk. Heat for a few seconds. Just before mixture begins to boil, add vinegar and remove from fire. Garnish with slices of tomatoes and cooked macaroni. Serve with Hoppers Recipe.
