Tropical Tango Smoothie
Serves 2
Exotic fruits and coconut are great in smoothie drinks, although quite rich. Cut down on the coconut mil or add some yoghurt for a drink that's lower in fat and slightly tarter in taste.

Ingredients:
  • 2 passion fruit
  • 1 small mango, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cantaloupe melon, peeled
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk or yoghurt
  • 3 slices pineapple
  • 1/2-1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  • Squeeze lime juice, to taste
  • Ice cubes, lightly crushed
  • Lime peel and passion fruit to decorate
Method:
Scoop the flesh from the passion fruit and place in the blender, together with the remaining ingredients. Whiz until smooth - the passion fruit pips will remain whole, but are easy to drink.
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less lime juice.

Happy Tropical Tango Smoothie.
Smoothie Tips
Here are some tips to improve your smoothie-making abilities:
  • Freeze the fruit for a frostier drink (Bananas work well).
  • Avoid sweetened frozen fruit as this adds calories and may make the drink too syrupy sweet.
  • If your drink’s too thick, add more juice.
  • If the drink’s too thin, add more fruit or a couple of ice cubes.
  • For smoothies that are too tart, add some sugar or artificial sweetener.
  • To ad more zing, add a small spoonful of lemon or lime juice.
